๐Ÿ› Bug fixesโ€‹

Charging session handlingโ€‹

  • Improvements for consumption time series calculation when meter values are not aligned with transaction and themselves. Now total consumption in time series and transaction is set to be same (that was not always the case previously).
  • If total consumption is going to be huge (> 500 kWh), it is set to 0 and no price is calculated.
  • When total consumption differs from received meter values, the difference is now added to the last 15min slot that has consumption (not just to the last one).

Thank you everyone for the feedback regarding Connect beta release! The reception has been greater than we could have even anticipated, which is awesome to see.

Next we are releasing a new commenting feature to Connect, which makes internal communication much easier when doing operational work. We are also releasing success rate metric to dashboard and other small improvements on the platform.

Comment fields for sites, chargers and driversโ€‹

You can now leave comments under sites, chargers and drivers. Comments allow you to document made changes in an easy way. Comment fields are available under sites, chargers and drivers.

Success rate for dashboardโ€‹

Our first step towards bringing better tooling to monitor your charger infrastructure performance is the success rate. Success rate is the key metric to see the percentage of successful charging sessions. We will be working on bringing you better tools to compare success rates between different manufacturers and charger models in the future.

Other improvementsโ€‹

  • Added manufacturer and model filters to Chargers page
  • "Chargers" and "Subsites" columns now show the number of all chargers and subsites (including subsites) on the Sites page
  • Data tables now handle loading state in a more graceful way, no more blocking loading animation if data is found from cache
  • Fixed canceling user details update making Connect error
  • Added missing "Clear charging profiles" and "Request diagnostics" charger actions
  • Added links to Chargers page with corresponding status filters in "Sockets" in Dashboard
  • Made site explorer more versatile under individual site and charger pages
    • Added links to previous and next sibling site
    • Added button for bringing focus back to the currently active site next to the search bar

Tariff engine improvementsโ€‹

New tariff engine improvement has been released which will streamline tariff handling between OCPI and regular charging sessions and will add support for all price elements for both charging session types. Invoicing related price elements will still be handled separately. This improvement will change the way spot prices are handled internally and from this release forward the sites that have spot price tariff connected will need to have timezone set under "Location". No other changes are required.

Spot price usage

Please add the "timezone" information to sites that have a spot price tariff connected to them. Without it, the spot prices will stop working after this release.

If you need help with this, please contact our customer support and we will happily help you with the process!

Upgraded OCPP handling for OCPP 2.0.1 chargersโ€‹

We have launched a new version of our OCPP handler in production. It has been taken in use for OCPP 2.0.1 chargers at the endpoint wss://ocpp2.emabler.io/ocpp/. This also introduces the capability to see raw OCPP messages on eMabler UI. We will be migrating OCPP 1.6 chargers to this new OCPP handler soon as well, so stay tuned!

eMabler UIโ€‹

  • Added "OCPP communication" section under Logs on the charger page, where raw OCPP messages can be viewed.

OCPIโ€‹

In our previous OCPI implementation, we utilized routing headers introduced in OCPI version 2.2 whenever they were provided. However, to address compatibility issues with certain partner integrations, we have updated our implementation.

When using OCPI 2.1.1, the following routing headers will now be ignored:

  • OCPI-to-party-id
  • OCPI-to-country-code
  • OCPI-from-party-id
  • OCPI-from-country-code
