Introducing Connect

Introducing eMabler Connect - the next-generation charge point management system. Built on years of deep EV charging industry expertise and enriched by invaluable customer feedback, Connect delivers a seamless user experience paired with a robust toolkit for everyday operations. We're excited to announce that eMabler Connect is now available in beta for our existing customers - join us in redefining the future of EV charging!

What is Connect?​

Connect is the next version of eMabler UI. While eMabler UI has helped our customers scale their business successfully, we've had to acknowledge that its technological foundation doesn't scale like we expect it to. That's why we have went back to the drawing board and started from scratch with Connect. Built on top of the new API version 2 (which we are launching to beta as well), Connect provides a more scalable, secure, and future-proof platform. This has given us the opportunity to rethink how information is structured, how operators actually use the platform, and how we can continuously improve the experience moving forward.

Even though we are now launching Connect in beta, the work isn't done. The feature set doesn't fully match eMabler UI yet, and we are actively working to bring all functionalities into Connect. During this transition period, Connect and eMabler UI will co-exist, and beta users will have access to both with the same credentials. Since both platforms share the same data, you can seamlessly manage your charging infrastructure from either one.

Preparing for the next leap​

Connect isn't just about a new interface — it's about laying the groundwork for automation in EV charging operations. With Connect, we will enabling operators to move towards greater efficiency and reliability by reducing manual work and improving system oversight.

One of the first steps in this journey will be Charger Success Rate monitoring, a real-time performance tracking tool that helps identify issues before they impact operations. Combined with high platform uptime (+99.999%), this ensures that businesses can depend on Connect to keep their infrastructure running smoothly. Real-time uptime monitoring and reporting add an extra layer of transparency, ensuring accountability and trust in system performance.

At the same time, security remains a top priority. Connect is designed with enterprise-grade security features, including ISO 27001 certification, regular security audits, and data encryption protocols to ensure the highest level of protection for customer data.

Current features​

On beta launch, Connect supports most of the features required to run your day-to-day operations and monitor your charger infrastructure. The following features are available in Connect from day one:

  • Site management
  • Charger management
  • Driver management
  • Viewing & exporting charging sessions
  • Access control for operators

On top of the previously mentioned features that were already supported in eMabler UI, we are also bringing completely new features.

Permission & role based access control​

Connect brings versatile permission & role based access control for the operators. You can now decide which features are available for your users with either permissions or roles. Roles can be defined to contain any permissions, so you can build just the roles that your organization needs for proper access control.

Search sites, chargers or drivers from anywhere! Connect has search embedded on the main navigation which allows finding what you are looking for more easily. Search functionality will continue to evolve once we will introduce more features to make it even more powerful.

Better visibility of charger activity​

You can now view ongoing sessions on charger level. Information like session start time, estimated consumption and used RFID for authorization are available for you to better monitor how your chargers are being used.

Site-level dashboard​

Sometimes generic overview of your entire organization is not enough, but you need to drill deeper on the site level. With Connect that is now possible as we are introducing site-level dashboards. Site-level dashboard provides an easy way to quickly see the status of the site and how it is performing.

Single sign-on support​

Do you want sign in to Connect with the same account that you are using with your organization? Connect support single sign-on, which allows you to have exactly that. Do you want to enable single sign-on? Please contact customer support and we can coordinate enabling that for you.

Roadmap​

We are planning on bringing all the missing features to Connect as soon as possible. The following features are on the roadmap:

  • DLM
  • Tariff management
  • Integrations
  • Express
  • Payment terminals
  • Invoicing

We will be tackling these one by one, so do expect frequent releases for Connect.

To further simplify the onboarding and usage of Connect, we are excited to announce that during the spring, we will introduce a self-service option, allowing new users to sign up directly into the platform. This will make it even easier for businesses to get started with Connect and accelerate their journey toward scalable EV charging operations.

How to join the beta?​

If you are an existing customer with access to eMabler UI, please contact us through the Support center and ask for Connect beta access. We will then provide you with the instructions on how to start using Connect.

While Connect is in beta you have a great chance of making an impact how we design and develop the platform further. All feedback is very welcome and encouraged, so please let us know your thoughts.
