Configuration templates

Configuration templates allow you to save different charger configurations as separate templates. Configuration templates contain one or multiple implementations which can be used to target different manufacturer, model and firmware combinations. This allows you to have a centralized place for all charger configurations for different setups (for example setting free charging on).

Creating configuration templates​

  1. Navigate to More > Configuration templates
  2. Now you see a list of configuration templates. You can either create new ones or edit existing ones
    • Templates are either System templates which are managed by eMabler or Organization templates which are managed by your organization. System templates cannot be edited.
  3. When creating a new configuration template you must first provide a name for the new template.
  4. Next you need to create implementations.
    • Each implementation targets a single manufacturer/model/firmware combination
    • If you want to create manufacturer or model specific implementations, please leave model or firmware as empty
    • Add the wanted configuration names and values and save
    • Tip: You can use the charger configuration browser on the right side to find existing configurations from existing chargers. Utilize it to copy existing values quickly.
  5. Once you are happy with the implementations you are done with your new configuration template!

Applying configuration template​

There are mainly two ways of applying templates to chargers.

Configuration template page​

  1. Click "Apply template" from configuration template page
  2. Select relevant chargers
  3. Click "Apply"
  4. You will see a message with the information of how many chargers were updated with the configuration template
    • Charger needs to have matching manufacturer/model/firmware combination and it needs to online

Site/charger pages​

  1. When looking at a list of chargers either under site or chargers, you can select the chargers you want to update and then click "Apply configuration template"
  2. Select template you want to apply
  3. You will see a message with the information of how many chargers were updated with the configuration template
    • Charger needs to have matching manufacturer/model/firmware combination and it needs to online

Which was the latest applied template?​

You will find the latest applied configuration template on the charger page or on the charger listings as a separate column. Configuration template name and the time the apply happened are available.
