Start charging

You can initiate a remote start for a socket under Charger > Details > Sockets > Start. The charging cable needs to be plugged in before any actual charging can happen. There are two ways of initiating a remote start:

Custom RFID

You can provide a custom RFID which will be used to initiate the remote start. This custom RFID will not be validated, which means that it won't be validated against any driver's access. This allows you to start charging even without having any drivers in Connect. You can either select a randomized RFID or a self-provided one in the free text field.

info

Charger must have disabled remote transaction authorization for custom RFID to work. This is usually done by setting AuthorizeRemoteTxRequests to false under charger's configurations.

Driver

If you need to link the session to a certain driver, you can also start charging by using a driver and their RFID. First you need to select the driver from the dropdown that has access to the charger and then select the RFID you want to initiate the charging with and select "Start charging".
